Saturday, Oct. 26, between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities, the Los Alamos Public Library and Los Alamos Little Theatre will host a ghost hunt in the historic and spooky Performing Arts Center at 1670 Nectar St. This Halloween adventure returns once more after the successful adventures of last year’s ghost hunters.

Available at the Performing Arts Center for the evening will be a number of ghost-hunting devices, including its featured device, the Flir One thermal cameras. With detectors in hand, participants can venture into the historic building where members of the Los Alamos Little Theatre will wander throughout the building to tell tales of all the things that go bump, thump and whooooosh in the dark corners of the spooky spaces.

Participants are forewarned that the data reception at the Performing Arts Center is just as spooky as the building—please remember to download the Flir One app in advance. Participants with the app on either iOS or Android can connect the cameras to their phones or tablets, then walk through the building to discover the sources of the theatre’s hauntings. This event is not intended to be a summoning of ancestors or spirits, or a paranormal intrusion into past lives.

In partnership with Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities, patrons can borrow the Flir One thermal cameras any time of the year from the Los Alamos Public Library.
