Los Alamos Police Resume Fingerprint Services For Licensing, Certification, Employment Beginning Today!

LAPD News:

The Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) has announced that fingerprint services have resumed as of today. Individuals requiring fingerprint services to complete federal, or state background checks can schedule an appointment by registering on the IdentoGo website at: https://nm.state.identogo.com or call 877.467.9215 for assistance.

Last May, the LAPD was notified by the New Mexico Department of Public Safety (NMDPS) that it had changed vendors for fingerprint background checks and support. The change at the state level required LAPD to halt services immediately until it could enter an agreement with the new vendor to renew fingerprint services to citizens and visitors.

After a several-month gap, LAPD was able to install the new equipment and train the LAPD Records Division staff on the new fingerprint services.

The LAPD Records Division is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 2500 Trinity Dr. Suite A. Fingerprint applicants need to register first through Identogo to secure an appointment.

LAPD would like to remind applicants that health and wellness are critical to its ability to provide essential services to the public. Applicants feeling ill on the day of their scheduled appointment will be asked to instead reschedule their appointment for a later date by visiting online https://nm.state.identogo.com or calling 877.467.9215 to reschedule. This includes individuals exhibiting COVID or Flu-like symptoms while at an Enrollment Center, may be kindly asked to reschedule.

The LAPD appreciates everyone’s cooperation in providing a safe and healthy environment within the police facility.

Please call LAPD records at 505.663.1741 with questions or email police-records@lacnm.us.
