Sarah Lott, a junior at Los Alamos High School and 2014 New Mexico High School champion in the 100 Free, was selected to attend a three-day training trip recently at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., with 22 of her teammates from Charger Aquatics (main team) in Albuquerque.
The team worked out in the Training Center pool twice a day, stayed in the dorms, attended classroom sessions, and ate in the dining hall that is currently frequented by many Olympic hopefuls in preparation for the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.
With the 2016 Olympic Trial cuts released last week, this was a great motivating trip for the Charger swim team that ranked 76th out of 2,482 registered club teams in the United States this past year.
