LWV & AAUW News:

Happy New Year from the Los Alamos League of Women Voters (LWV) and American Association of University Women (AAUW) with hopes for a healthy, creative 2024 with many opportunities for democratic engagement.

To kickstart education toward engagement, the LWV and AAUW invite the community to the Legislative Preview: 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4 at Fuller Lodge. Come at 6:30 p.m. for cookies and conversation.

The three legislators for Los Alamos—Rep. Christine Chandler and Senators Roberto Gonzales and Leo Jaramillo—will discuss the upcoming session. They will also address their hopes and expectations for the session and answer questions from the audience.

Dist. 41 Rep. Susan Herrera will explain the changes proposed for modernizing the New Mexico Legislature.

All of the speakers will answer questions from the audience.
