ALBUQUERQUE – Real heroes walk among us. MADD New Mexico, the state’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to ending drunk driving, announces the 2014 Honoring Heroes Awardees at a brunch event Saturday, Nov. 8 in Albuquerque.
Ten winners from law enforcement, the business sector, the courts, as well as regular, everyday citizens, and one very active teenager, were selected among dozens of nominations for their dedication to fulfilling MADD’s mission of ending DWI, supporting victims of this violent crime, and preventing underage drinking.
The community is encouraged show their support by attending the brunch event, with proceeds from ticket sales supporting the work of MADD within New Mexico. Tickets are $50 for individuals, $35 for law enforcement officers. This is family friendly event, with youth under 12 attending for free.
