Missoula Children’s Theatre Directors Julia Bourland and Ryan Jacob Pierce will be bringing the theatre’s production of “Aladdin” to the stage in Los Alamos.
Bourland said she is thrilled to start her post graduate life with the Missoula Children’s Theatre.

She graduated in three years with a BFA in theatre with an acting emphasis from Viterbo University. Some of her favorite credits include Agnes from “Dancing at Lughnasa,” Capulet in “Romeo and Juliet” and Moth in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
Pierce also said he is thrilled to be touring with the Missoula Children’s Theatre. He is a graduate of Luther College with a degree in theatre and music. His favorite show credits include: Andrew Porter in Becky Shaw, an ensemble actor in “Love & Information” and Mariah in “Twelfth Night.” He would like to thank his family and friends for their endless love and support.
Los Alamos Arts Council (LAAC) and Missoula Children’s Theatre will hold auditions for “Aladdin” from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Aug. 7 at Crossroads Bible Church. Those auditioning should come at 9:30 a.m. to register and stay for the full two hours.
Those who are selected for a part need to stay after the auditions for their first rehearsal, which will be from 12:30-2:30 p.m. There is no cost to audition but there is a $35 fee to participate in the production.
Anyone entering first through 12th grade are invited to audition. Up to 50 children, and maybe more, can participate.
“Aladdin” will be presented at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12 at Crossroads Bible Church. Tickets are available at the door, starting at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $15, or $7 for children ages 12 and younger. For LAAC members, tickets cost $10 or $5 for children ages 12 and younger.
