Morrow And Atencio Sentenced Under Plea Deals

COURT News:

Under the terms of a plea agreement, Mark Morrow, 37, of Los Alamos pleaded guilty Oct. 13 in Los Alamos Magistrate Court to possession of drug paraphernalia.

Morrow was given a deferred sentence of 364 days, placed on supervised probation for a year and ordered to pay a $50 fine. He also was originally charged with possession of marijuana but that charge was dropped under the terms of the plea agreement. He was originally charged after being detained during Operation Spring Cleaning, a drug sting conducted March 20 by the Los Alamos Police Department, after he allegedly admitted to having marijuana and a pipe in a drawer at an Alabama Street residence.

Another occupant of the residence, Nichole Marsh, was arrested and charged with one count of trafficking a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of dangerous drugs – conditions of sale and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Marsh is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing Nov. 1 in First Judicial District Court.

​Andrew Atencio, 37, of Chimayo received a suspended sentence Oct. 13 of 364 days after he pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He also was placed on supervised probation for a year and ordered to pay a $50 fine. A felony possession of a controlled substance charge and a speeding charge were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
