The Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) has announced that the Museum of International Folk Art is hosting a Lunar New Year celebration 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4 at 706 Camino Lejo, on Museum Hill in Santa Fe.

The community is invited to celebrate the Lunar New Year with Museum of International Folk Art.

There will be family-fun for all ages including art activities, a performance from the Quang Minh Temple Lion Dance Group, and a Taiko drumming performance by Santa Fe Wadaiko.

Details:

• 1-4 p.m.  All ages art activities;
• 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Quang Minh Temple Lion Dance Group Parade; and
• 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.  Taiko Drumming performance by Santa Fe Wadaiko.

Lunar New Year is an important celebration around the world, and the museum is excited to share the traditions of different cultures. Lunar New Year starts Feb. 10 and runs through Feb. 24.
