New Mexico Department Of Cultural Affairs Offers Active-Duty Military Free Admission To Museums, Historic Sites

New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs News:

The Arts and Military program of New Mexico Arts is launching a promotional campaign supporting Blue Star Museums, which offers cultural experiences in New Mexico for active-duty military and their families.

What: Through Blue Star Museums, New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs (NMDCA) museums and sites will offer free admission to active-duty military personnel, including National Guard and Reserve and their families beginning on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 18, 2024 through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2, 2024. The free admission extends to up to five family members. Qualified members must show a valid military ID. Who: New Mexico Arts and New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs

When: Saturday, May 18, 2024 – Monday, Sept. 2, 2024

Why: New Mexico has a sizable active-duty military and National Guard population of more than 43,000 people and NMDCA offers these individuals a chance to explore the history and culture of the state throughout the summer. The Blue Star program is a way for the Department of Cultural Affairs to thank our military families for their service and share with them New Mexico’s cultural treasures.
