New Mexico Law Enforcement Memorial To Honor 3 Officers

SANTA FE – New Mexico law enforcement officials, dignitaries, and families of fallen officers will memorialize three officers who died in the line of duty at the New Mexico Law Enforcement Memorial Service Wednesday, May 22 in Santa Fe.

The memorial, which is open to the public, is dedicated to the memory of New Mexico law enforcement personnel who, in the line of duty, unselfishly lost their lives in order to preserve the lives, property, rights and privileges of the people of New Mexico.

2024 Inductees:

  • Officer Anthony Dale Ferguson, Alamogordo Police Department, End of Watch: July 16, 2023
  • Officer James Sides, Alamogordo Police Department, End of Watch: Aug. 14, 2023
  • Sheriff Michael Reeves, Curry County Sheriff’s Office, End of Watch: Dec. 4, 2023

The induction will bring the total number of New Mexico officers to 220. The names and circumstances of each officer’s death can be found at: https:////www.nmlememorial.org/.
