Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver
From the Secretary of State’s Office:
SANTA FE – New Mexico’s State Canvass Board met today in Santa Fe and unanimously certified the results of the 2024 Primary Election.
The State Canvass Board is composed of the Executive, Secretary of State, and Chief Justice of the New Mexico Supreme Court.
“The State Canvass Board meeting is the last step in the post-election canvass process that ensures accuracy in the election results,” Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver said. “New Mexicans can have confidence in these official election results because of the rigorous review process that takes place at the county and state-level. I’m proud to have certified these results alongside Lt. Gov. Howie Morales and Chief Justice David Thomson.
“During this election cycle, my Office introduced several new tools that significantly enhanced the experience for candidates and voters. I’m pleased to report that these innovations contributed to a smoother and more secure election process. Although New Mexico already holds the top spot in the nation for election administration, we recently implemented electronic nominating petition signatures for candidates, upgraded our absentee ballot tracking system, and launched a secure remote balloting portal for military and overseas voters. I encourage all voters to utilize these and our other resources as they prepare for the upcoming General Election in November.”
The official, certified results for the 2024 Primary Election are available for viewing on the Secretary of State’s website.
