In accordance with revised public health directives, the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) will close its museums and historic sites to the public Friday, Oct. 23, until further notice.

The safety and well-being of employees and visitors is the DCA’s foremost concern. DCA appreciates the ongoing support and understanding of the public.

“The fight against COVID-19 has become our state’s top priority,” DCA Cabinet Secretary Debra Garcia y Griego said. “We are closing our facilities in response to new public health directives. The DCA is dedicated to sharing New Mexico’s rich and diverse cultural heritage and encourages the public to visit our wealth of online resources. We look forward to welcoming the public back when deemed prudent by public health officials.”
