UPDATE: The break in the eight-inch line was discovered after water was observed on the roadway this morning. Due to nearby power, water and gas lines, Los Alamos National Laboratory workers are reportedly unable to use a backhoe to excavate the pipe and most of the work will be done manually for the safety of workers on the scene. The road is down to just one lane in the eastbound direction.
