ALBUQUERQUE — Through October and November of 2024, the New Mexico State Police (NMSP) Crime Suppression Bureau began investigating the sale of illegal narcotics in southeast Albuquerque.
During the investigation, agents learned of several locations where narcotics and firearms were being stored.
A search warrant was executed Nov. 20, 2024, at 8213 Bell Ave. During the execution of the search warrant, Braderick Keon Butler was located and found to be in possession of four AR-15 style rifles, 37.6 grams of crack cocaine, and multiple items used in the manufacturing and distribution of crack cocaine.
Butler was arrested, and booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center on the following charges:
- Trafficking Controlled Substances (by Manufacturing);
- Distribution of a Controlled Substance; and
- Receipt, Transportation, or Possession of a Firearm or Destructive Device by a Felon (4 counts).
