ALBUQUERQUE — As part of our proactive operations, the New Mexico State Police (NMSP) Crime Suppression Unit (CSU), tactical unit, Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) and the 2nd Judicial District Attorney’s office executed a successful joint operation resulting in a significant number of arrests.
A proactive operation was carried out Sept. 28, with the above-mentioned agencies in order to identify criminal activity within the city of Albuquerque.
During the operation, 15 offenders were arrested on a variety of charges to include receiving and transferring stolen motor vehicles, outstanding warrants and narcotics related charges.
“I would like to emphasize the importance of multiple agencies working together to pinpoint criminal activity and bringing their resources to bear in an effort to arrest those individuals who continue to engage in unlawful activity,” NMSP Chief Troy Weisler said.
