NMSP News:
As Thursday’s winter storm moved through New Mexico, it created some difficult driving conditions and New Mexico State Police Officers assisted motorists and investigatied crashes.
From 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5 until 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, state police investigated 14 injury crashes, 58 non-injury crashes and assisted 102 motorists.
New Mexico State Police remind motorists to always travel prepared:
- First and foremost, always wear a seatbelt and SLOW DOWN;
- Allow extra room between your vehicle and the one in front of you;
- Be alert of potential “Black Ice” on the roadway; and
- Always travel prepared with food, water and blankets in your vehicle.
