LAMC News:
Los Alamos Medical Center (LAMC) has announced that OB/GYN Dr. Sharon Ransom has joined the hospital on a permanent basis. Dr. Ransom has been providing services as a temporary provider for nearly three years, offering high quality patient care to the women and families of Los Alamos and Northern New Mexico.
“My practice as an OB/GYN centers on providing the highest quality healthcare to women in rural communities. I am eager to work with LAMC leadership to develop a community-focused women’s health service,” Dr. Ransom said. “Women’s health, from birth to menopause, is key to growing a stable environment for thriving families.”
From annual check-ups to prenatal care and delivery, Los Alamos Women’s Health offers women’s healthcare services for all ages and all stages. For labor and delivery, the hospital’s Family Birthing Center offers a warm, home-like atmosphere and utilizes the latest medical advancements to give mothers peace of mind before, during and after their pregnancy.
“We are thrilled that Dr. Ransom has chosen to join our facility on a permanent contract. This exciting move reflects our continued commitment to offering convenient, high quality women’s healthcare close to home,” LAMC CEO Tracie Stratton said. “Since her arrival at our facility, Dr. Ransom has provided exceptional care and provided consistency that we know our community is seeking. Patients who have seen her and delivered their baby with her have had nothing but praise for the care she has provided.”
“The opportunity to provide care to culturally rich and diverse populations has always been the foundation and focus of my practice,” Dr. Ransom added. “I look forward to collaborating with the practitioners, administration and community leaders who make Los Alamos Medical Center such a special place.”
