TOM CAPELLI Jan. 10, 2018

Tom Capelli, at age 85 peacefully passed away Sunday, January 10, 2018 at his son’s home.

He leaves two children, daughter Cindy Capelli, son Steve Capelli, children’s mother Jean Capelli and two grandchildren; Ryan and Nick Capelli and many close friends.

Tom was born in California in 1932 and moved to Los Alamos in 1968 with his family to work at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He worked at LANL as an engineer from 1968 until he retired and moved up to Chama, New Mexico.

He was quite the inspiration for many boys who played baseball and grew up here in Los Alamos. He coached many teams that included, American Legion, Little League All Stars, Sandy Kofax, high school and others.

Fishing was his passion above everything. Tom was a very well-known fishing guide on Heron Lake, (High Country Fishing). This was his dream to live the life as an outdoorsrmen, which he successfully accomplished.

He is at peace now, somewhere in the great fishing hole in the sky with his best friend Floyd Hughes, must be somewhere between Chama and Heaven!

Tom will be truly missed by his family and friends.
