Adrian Trujillo
Department of Probation and Parole (DPP) officials are again asking for Adrian Trujillo, 29, of Hernandez to serve the remainder of his sentences in two cases incarceration, saying he continues to sabotage himself with negative behavior and total disregard for other people’s safety.
Trujillo faces a probation violation arraignment Feb. 22 before First Judicial District Chief Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer because he was arrested Feb. 6 by Los Alamos police and charged with two counts of battery on a household member.
The alleged victim is the same woman DPP officials claim Trujillo made contact with at her place of work Sept. 16 in Pojoaque. On that occasion, they allege that when the victim told Trujillo he needed to work on his anger management issues, he struck her in the left eye with his closed fist. First Judicial District Chief Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer dismissed the resulting probation violation in that case when the victim did not show up in court for the evidentiary hearing.
Trujillo was originally charged in 2015 with false imprisonment, aggravated battery against a household member, assault with intent to commit a felony against a household member, and battery against a household member. In 2016 he was charged with an additional two charges of battery against a household member.
The victim in both cases was the woman involved in the Sept. 16 and Feb. 6 incidents. In the September incident, the victim reported what happened to DPP but did not contact the police. In the Feb. 6 incident, DPP officials say LAPD officers were dispatched to the victim’s residence where they found Trujillo, and the victim told police Trujillo had kicked her in the leg, injuring her.
Under the conditions of his probation in the 2015 and 2016 cases, Trujillo was ordered to stay more than 25 feet away from the victim. He also was ordered not to leave Rio Arriba County without DPP permission except for court appearances. On Feb. 6, he went to the victim’s house in Los Alamos after 11 p.m. according to DPP reports.
