On the job in Los Alamos is Chamber of Commerce Director Ryn Herrmann in her office Tuesday at 190 Central Park Square. Herrmann began working for the Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation (LACDC) MainStreet program in August 2014. She became Creative District curator, then communications director and in December 2017 director of the Chamber. ‘It’s been the honor of my life to have this position, to be able to help our small businesses and the community,’ Ryn said. ‘When COVID hit it became very important for me to get any message out to our small businesses that could help them, whether it was grants or other resources. It seems that we’re beginning to come out of this pandemic crisis now and we are starting to see local businesses and entrepreneurs really fired up and that’s so great to see and we are here to help!’ The Chamber is a program of the LACDC, a private not-for-profit 501(c)6 organization that has been active in Los Alamos since 1983. Its mission is to build a vibrant community through a thriving economy. #worklosalamos #wherediscoveriesaremade. Photo by Jenn Bartram/ladailypost.com
