On the job in Santa Fe is New Mexico Cabinet Secretary of Education Dr. Kurt Steinhaus in his office during a visit Friday with members of the New Mexico Press Association. Dr. Steinhaus, a Los Alamos native, discussed the best thing about his job: ‘I thoroughly enjoy and am honored to serve parents and educators from throughout New Mexico. My work includes taking care of more than 320,000 diverse children ages 3 to 22, focusing on equity, supporting healthy schools initiatives, and improving student achievement.
