The Reeves family pulls into Sonic for some cool drinks after spending this afternoon up at the Pumas Mines having some fun driving their serious four-wheel drive vehicle over the bumps and rocks and trails. The vehicle started life as an 85 Toyota Runner, but Kirk and Alyssa Reeves converted it into a rock climber. They have a long history of building vehicles as they first met in the auto shop at Los Alamos High School. Photo by John McHale/ladailypost.com
The four-wheeler has mega ground clearance and was built to be a rock climber to be driven in competition and fun events on such courses as in Moab, Utah. Photo by John McHale/ladailypost.com
This is a family participation event. The kids Nico, Zoe and Sam Reeves are safely and securely belted in their seats with a three-point safety harness. Photo by John McHale/ladailypost.com
