Contract Awarded For Critical Raw Water Pumping Plant On Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project’s San Juan Lateral In Northwest New Mexico

FARMINGTON, N.M. — The Bureau of Reclamation announced today a nearly $62 million contract award to Ames Federal Contracting Group, LLC for the construction of the San Juan Lateral Pumping Plant No. 1 in northwest New Mexico. The plant is a critical component of the Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project, which will pump water from the Project’s Frank Chee Willetto Reservoir to the San Juan Lateral Water Treatment Plant.

Attention community members—the Annual CROP/LA Cares Turkey Trot is coming up on Sunday, Nov. 23. Sign up begins at 1 p.m. and race/walk starts at 2 p.m. at the Los Alamos Middle School.
The event will start at the Los Alamos Middle School on North Mesa with 2 courses of 1.7 miles and 2.57 miles on North Mesa.
A number of turkeys and pumpkin pies will be given out at a random drawing after the race/walk. Food will be available after the race/walk as well.

The amazing K-Kids Club at Aspen School just completed collecting, packing, and shipping of 20 boxes of over 1000 books to make a library for Innovation Primary Community Library in Uganda, Africa.
Thanks to their hard work, an entire community will have access to books where there were none before!
