As we head into tomorrow’s primary election, I want to take a moment to thank the people of Los Alamos and White Rock.

Over the last several months, I’ve had the opportunity to attend events, answer questions, and have conversations with residents from across our communities. LAHS Class Of ’81 Seeks Classmate Info For 45th Reunion

 COMMUNITY News:

The Los Alamos High School (LAHS) Class of 1981 reunion committee is seeking contact information for individuals who identify as members of the Class of 81.

This contact information will be used for the 45th reunion this year and the 50th reunion in 2031.

The Class of ‘81 45th reunion will be Sept. 17-20 in Los Alamos, and the reunion committee would like to get registration information into the hands of its missing classmates.

Public Encouraged To Listen To NMED’s Presentation On Hexavalent Chromium Plume

COUNTY News:

The public is encouraged to hear a presentation from the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) regarding the hexavalent chromium plume at the Board of Public Utilities meeting at 5:30 p.m., June 3, 2026.

Hexavalent chromium was used by the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) from the 1950s–1970s. Contaminated water was periodically released into Sandia Canyon and Mortandad Canyon during this time frame. LANL contracts N3B to remediate contaminated groundwater, and N3B must work with NMED’s regulations for contamination levels.
