Curious about the fastest growing sport in the United States? Ready to give it a try or build upon skills?
The Pajarito Pickleball Club will host two skills clinics for beginners this summer:
- The Beginners 1 Clinic is an opportunity for absolute beginners or those new to the game to learn a warm up to prepare for play and prevent injuries, basic skills and shots, and the foundational rules and strategies of the game.
- The Beginners 2 Clinic – is designed for those players with more than three months experience and an understanding of the basic rules to continue to develop skills and knowledge of the game.
Schedule:
- Beginners 1 is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at the Piñon Courts in White Rock.
- Beginners 2 is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, at Barranca Mesa Courts in Los Alamos.
Both clinics will be led by certified instructors Scott Parkinson and Kristine Coblentz. Loaner paddles will be available upon request. Space is limited, so it is recommended to register early.
Participants should dress in comfortable clothing and a hat, wear court shoes if possible, and bring a water bottle. Fruit and sports drinks will be provided.
The cost is $16 for club members and $26 for non-members. Registration is open at http://pajaritopickleballclub.org. Participants will need to create an account on Court Reserve at the link above either as a friend of the club (free) or as a member ($35 per year) to be able to register.
