Four years ago, King was stolen from the Española Humane shelter. But a few weeks ago? This regal royal turned up at their doorstep via a Good Samaritan. ‘We knew it was him immediately, because nobody could forget his highness, and he never forgot his name (and of course was also confirmed by microchip).’  This majestic beast struts around the shelter like he owns the place and with a swagger that screams ‘bend the knee’. King’s purring, affectionate charm is irresistible, and he rules his kingdom with an iron paw wrapped in velvet. All hail King! With her brilliant black coat and chocolate brown eyes, Xena is a real show stopper – and coupled with her darling, sweet as pie demeanor, this pocket-sized black lab mix is a confection of perfection! Española Humane evacuated Xena just in the nick of time from the Ruidoso shelter and then she spent some foster time at Santa Fe Tails, where she was a shining star of group play and a cuddlebug with staff. She is in a foster home with other dogs and her foster family adores her – apply for this gentle and kind housetrained 48 lb., 2-year-old family gal on the Española Humane website to schedule a meet and greet with her foster family.
