COUNTY News:

Weather permitting, electric linemen with the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) have scheduled a 4-hour power outage for properties surrounding Sandia Drive in the Western Area.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Thursday, July 29, the outage will continue until 2 a.m. Friday, July 30.

Customers affected by the outage are on Ridgeway between 47th Street and Diamond Drive, the 45th/41st street loop south of Sandia; 44th, 43rd, 41st streets and homes on the west side of 40th Street that intersect Sandia.

DPU linemen have planned the evening outage to minimize the inconvenience to customers as they upgrade older electric equipment that services the area.
