Congregation Beit Tikva announces an upcoming premiere screening and lecture “Escape from Tehran,” a new Jewish play, presented by ALEPH, soon to be seen on JEWISH LIFE TELEVISION, by award winning playwright Stephanie Liss. Screening begins 3 p.m., April 16, 2023 at Congregation Beit Tikva, 2230 Old Pecos Trail, Santa Fe, NM.

This is the story of Soraya and Isaac Nazarian, and their lives in Tehran, and their ultimate, harrowing escape, during the time of the Shah, through the Islamic Revolution which radically changed the nation of Iran. As Soraya says in the play – it was not a time to be a Jew, in Iran…
The play highlights two characters, and stars a remarkable, powerful, cast:
Isaac – ASSAF COHEN (NCIS, FAUDA)
Soraya – DANIELLE BITTON (star of the international company, of EVITA)
Music by REBBESOUL (Jewish roots, World Music)
Narration by ELISHEVA HERRERA
The play was written and directed by award winning television and playwright, STEPHANIE LISS.
