Alert: Main Hill Road Closed Due To Rockslide
UPDATE: As of 8:25 a.m. the Main Hill Road has been cleared and reopened.
COUNTY News:
The Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) report that both east and westbound lanes of N.M. 502, Main Hill Road, are closed due to a rockslide near Anderson Overlook.
LAPD officers are on scene and the New Mexico Department of Transportation is en route. Traffic is being rerouted to East Jemez Road or the Truck Route.
At this time, there is no estimated timeline for when the roadway will reopen.

Now Completed Critical Broadband Project Ends Frequent Blackouts In Gallup And Surrounding McKinley County

ALBUQUERQUE — The Office of Broadband Access and Expansion (OBAE) has announced that a critical broadband project designed to eliminate high-speed internet outages in Gallup and surrounding McKinley County is complete.
The project’s completion is the result of a partnership between OBAE, Lumen Technologies and Ethos Broadband and means tens of thousands of residents in Gallup and McKinley County will no longer see frequent high-speed internet blackouts.
