County Manager Announces 10 A.M. Start For Non-Essential Government Services And Facilities

Due to inclement weather and icy conditions, Los Alamos County Manager Anne Laurent has ordered a 10 a.m. start for all nonessential county government services and facilities today, Thursday, Dec. 4, including the Golf Pro Shop.

Los Alamos Public Schools On 2-Hour Delay Thursday

Los Alamos Public Schools (LAPS) will be on a 2-hour delay on Thursday, Dec. 4 due to winter weather conditions. We already have a lot of ice accumulating on walkways and in parking lots.

There is more moisture expected through the night and temperatures will remain below freezing. This delay will give our crews time to make sure parking lots and sidewalks are clear and safe for staff and students.
