The New Mexico Supreme Court has reversed the first-degree murder conviction of Roman Cerna for a fatal shooting in 2020 outside of an Albuquerque smoke shop, and ordered the Second Judicial District Court to enter a judgment for second-degree murder.

County: Construction To Begin June 1 On Phase 3 Of Jemez Mountain Fire Protection Project

COUNTY News:
Los Alamos County has announced that construction will begin Monday, June 1, on Phase 3 of the Jemez Mountain Fire Protection Project (JMFPP).
This final phase will involve heavy machinery moving large equipment for the construction of four water booster stations.
The County asks motorists to avoid using Camp May Road from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

These designated spaces are equipped with air conditioning or water and offer residents and visitors a safe place to seek relief and help prevent heat-related illnesses.
