SANTA FE — As the weather warms, New Mexicans are going back outside — and bears are becoming more active.
If you’re planning a camping or hiking trip in bear country, the New Mexico Department of Wildlife urges the public to “stay bear aware” while they’re in the woods. It should be noted that bears are typically afraid of humans and will mostly keep their distance unless provoked. Supreme Court Upholds Man’s Child Abuse Conviction In Death Of Two-Year-Old In Las Cruces

SANTA FE — The state Supreme Court today affirmed the conviction of a Doña Ana County man for intentional child abuse resulting in the death of a two-year-old girl in 2018.
In a unanimous decision, the Court rejected arguments by Lalo Anthony Castrillo IV that there was not enough evidence for the jury to find that he caused the death of Faviola Rodriguez and that he was wrongly denied a new trial.

My vote is for Maggiore for Sheriff. Although his opponent has a respected history of service to Los Alamos, his opponent is running to eliminate the position of Sheriff totally. Taxpayers should not be funding him to pursue this.
Maggiore wants to do positive work for the community with the position.
