FSN to Offer IMPACT Personal Safety 101

FSN News:

Family Strengths Network will host IMPACT of Santa Fe for two special events in March.

IMPACT Personal Safety 101 and Healthy Relationships will be offered together on one night for people ages 15 through adult from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 19 at the Teen Center.

Seventh and eighth graders can benefit from this important workshop with appropriate content from 6-8 .pm. Thursday, March 21 at FSN.

This class empowers participants by teaching them what assailants look for and how to avoid being chosen as a target.

A morning fire destroyed the chapel of the New Beginnings Fellowship Church at 112 East Road in Los Alamos last July 4. 

The blaze left a burned out shell of a building. One firefighter was injured battling the flames that had traveled up into the building’s rafters.

In the next week, our senate will vote on Rep. Miguel Garcia’s House Bill 77, also known as the Fire Arms Transfer Act. 

The bill would require background checks at gun shows. It has received bipartisan support in the House of Representatives and Gov. Susana Martinez has said she would sign the bill.
