Sandia; Kirtland Holding Joint Environmental Meeting

The Department of Energy (DOE) and Department of Defense (DOD) will host their semi-annual public meeting about the Sandia National Laboratories Environmental Programs and the Kirtland Air Force Base Environmental Restoration Program
The meeting is set for 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23 at the Cesar Chavez Community Center, 7505 Kathryn Southeast in Albuquerque, off Louisiana Boulevard and Zuni.
DOE will present about Sandia issues between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Santa Fe Men Arrested on Federal Trafficking Charges
FBI News:
Willie Anaya, 49, and Manuel Mendez, 30, both of Santa Fe were arrested Friday on federal methamphetamine trafficking charges by agents of the FBI and the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Region III Narcotics Task Force.
Both men made their initial appearances on a criminal complaint in Albuquerque federal court this morning, and are temporarily detained pending detention hearings.
The criminal complaint charges Anaya and Mendez with conspiracy to violate the federal narcotics laws and distribution of methamphetamine.
