Diamond Drive near Golf Course
Starting Monday, July 30, after the morning commute, traffic control will be in place on Diamond Drive in the vicinity of the Golf Course to repair a leaking irrigation line. The outside lanes of both northbound and southbound traffic will be closed and the bike lanes will be shifted inwards to provide a safe work zone for shoulder work.

Hill Diner Burglarized Overnight!

The restaurant is open for business now but when employees arrived to work this morning at the Hill Diner, they discovered in short order that something was wrong. A window had been pushed in and the cash register was “trashed.”

“We don’t keep any cash in the restaurant,” owner Denise Lane said.

Udall, Bingaman & Luján Announce Federal Assistance for Santa Clara Pueblo

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Tom Udall, Jeff Bingaman and Rep. Ben Ray Luján announced Friday that more than $11 million in federal assistance relief is being made available for Santa Clara Pueblo following recent flooding in the area.

New Beginnings Church Fire Still a Mystery

LAFD News:

As of Tuesday, July 24, the Los Alamos County Fire Department, New Mexico State Fire Marshal Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are still in the process of conducting an investigation into the origin and cause of the July 4 fire, which destroyed the chapel at the New Beginnings Church, 112 East Road.

At the present time, the fire is still classified as “under investigation” and information is still being gathered and processed.

A Flash Flood Warning was issued at 1:07 p.m. by the National Weather Service in Los Alamos County until 4 p.m. today.

Avoid flood areas. Urgency: Immediate.
