RE/MAX Featured Broker For March: Thea Smith Nilsson

RE/MAX News:

Each month, RE/MAX First celebrates and promotes one of its brokers. In March, we introduced Thea Smith Nilsson:

BIO

Prior to serving buyers and sellers, Thea worked in the tech industry, managing corporate philanthropy and employee engagement initiatives for large Silicon Valley companies. While she was born and raised in California, Thea’s family roots are in Los Alamos. All four of Thea’s grandparents moved to “The Hill” as young adults and put down roots. In fact, the Duane Smith Auditorium was named after Thea’s grandfather, better known in the community as ‘Smitty’, who served Los Alamos as Superintendent of Schools in the 1970s.

Thea’s aunt, Kelly Myers, had two impactful careers in town, first as a teacher and then as a realtor, before retiring in 2020.

Thea believes that all businesses, no matter their size, have a responsibility to reinvest in the communities that support them. As an independent business owner, Thea invests in social programs that help strengthen the community of Northern New Mexico. With every home she sells, she makes a financial contribution to a local non-profit organization. Listing your home with Thea means that together, you are helping to make Northern New Mexico a thriving place to live and do business.

FUN FACTS

Thea was a high school wrestler and choir nerd. These days, you can find her exploring the local trails, practicing flamenco dancing, or experimenting with high-altitude baking in a futile attempt to satisfy her sweet tooth.
