SANTA FE — Del Norte Credit Union (DNCU), the financial cooperative employing over 200 workers at eight branch locations throughout New Mexico, has recently been granted a series of awards recognizing its achievements as an ideal workplace in 2022.

Family-friendly policies that lead to employee success at work and home serve as a foundation for the 2022 “Family Friendly Business Award” granted to DNCU from Family Friendly New Mexico, a non-profit initiative that recognizes employers that feature family-friendly policies in the Land of Enchantment.

In addition, DNCU has been listed as one of 2022’s “Best Places to Work” by the Albuquerque Business Journal in its annual recognition of employers with “the best climate, team atmosphere, benefits…and engaged employees.”

“It’s always nice to receive a pat on the back for how your organization treats its most valuable asset, its employees. But the most important part of the Best Places to Work survey, is the feedback our employees provide to us. It helps us improve each year,” explained Kim Currie, Chief Marketing Officer at DNCU. “The most important result of the Best Place to Work survey is the employee feedback that helps us improve every year. Having just been awarded 2022’s Best Financial Institution by Santa Fe Reporter, it feels as though DNCU is building terrific momentum and truly earning a reputation as a great place to work in New Mexico.”

Earlier this year, DNCU announced that it had recorded over $1 billion in total assets, an important milestone that the organization attributed to a renewed focus on member service and its core mission of improving lives in New Mexico.
