Alexis Martinez Johnson, environmental engineer, wife, mother, and Republican nominee for New Mexico’s 3rd Congressional District visited White Rock to kick off the first event of the campaign season.
“It’s a great day to be on the campaign trail,” Martinez Johnson said. “As I think back on the freedoms our Founding Fathers fought for this Independence Day weekend, it motivates me even more so to fight back at all times against the radical leftist agenda that is making families across America struggle to make ends meet.
“Los Alamos County has been critical in preserving our freedom and in Congress I will work to make sure they get adequate funding for research and military initiatives. The technology industry in Los Alamos is a vital part of New Mexico and America’s economy and military, and I will fight to preserve this community. It was amazing to meet so many folks in White Rock and Los Alamos today that are ready for change!”
About Martinez Johnson:
Alexis Martinez Johnson grew up in Roswell and was raised by her grandparents. It was through their hard work and sacrifice that Alexis learned about New Mexican family values, which she has carried with her throughout her life.
Martinez Johnson’s career has been focused on ensuring high environmental standards in the Permian Basin while making sure energy was produced and jobs were kept so that New Mexico can thrive. She said she knows how to protect the environment, while also ensuring that we protect our economy.
Martinez Johnson lives with her husband, Christopher, and their four children in Santa Fe. For Martinez Johnson, New Mexico is more than a place. It’s been her home, and she’s committed to making New Mexico one of the best states to do business and raise a family, she said.
