ALBUQERQUE – Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce issued the following statement today regarding the Justice Department’s raid on former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate:

“This action is an unethical and corrupt use of the Justice Department by the radical left. The threats to attack and impeach Trump started before he was sworn into office in 2017 and continued during his presidency.

“It was illegal and unwarranted. The raid today is unprecedented and is one more example of Democrats weaponizing the Department of Justice. The issue is larger than Trump; it threatens our entire system of government.”
