ALBUQUERQUE — New Mexico Workforce Connection will open a new location in Sunland Park with a grand opening celebration Sept. 15.

“We are thrilled to be opening another New Mexico Workforce Connection Center in this dynamic area of New Mexico’s border,” Department of Workforce Solutions Secretary Sarita Nair said. “From the top of our state in Farmington to the southern reaches of Sunland Park, our Career Consultants, Business Service Representatives, Veteran Outreach Specialists, and partner staff are helping New Mexicans build strong businesses and great careers.”

The event will be attended by the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) Employment Services Division Director Marcos Martinez who will be joined by City of Sunland Park Mayor Javier Perea, and Alisa Estrada, Chair of the Southwest Area Workforce Development Board.    

“As Sunland Park continues to grow, so does the need for employment opportunities,” Mayor Javier Perea said. “The grand opening of the New Mexico Workforce Connection office in Sunland Park celebrates the many new connections to education, training, and employment closer to home. We are happy to welcome our partners to the region!”
