Rio Grande Norte Chapter Of The 99s Paint Compass Rose At Los Alamos County Airport Saturday

Members of the Rio Grande Norte Chapter of the 99’s organization painted a compass rose Saturday morning on the runway of the Los Alamos County Airport. It was explained that the compass is used by pilots to calibrate in their aircrafts. This particular compass is 42 feet in diameter. The 99’s is an international organization of women aviators.
