Happy Thanksgiving from the Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF). The Supervisor’s Office in Santa Fe and all District Offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28, in observance of the federal holiday. Regular business hours will resume Friday, Nov. 29.

The holiday season is a time to spend with family and friends and many enjoy cutting down their own Christmas tree on the Santa Fe National Forest. Christmas tree permits can be purchased online at Recreation.gov and in person during regular business hours at local District Offices or at the Supervisor’s Office in Santa Fe.

Before visiting the Santa Fe National Forest over the holidays read these helpful tips Know Before You Go | US Forest Service. Check the weather forecast and be prepared for winter road conditions. Remember many areas within the Santa Fe National Forest do not have good cell coverage.
