Santa Fe Women’s Ensemble News:
Celebrate Mother’s Day with the Santa Fe Women’s Ensemble Saturday May 10 and Sunday May 11 at First Presbyterian Church in Santa Fe.
Santa Fe Women’s Ensemble will present “Connect! Springscapes” – music about connecting through nature, families and life partners, as well as being bold about trying new things.
Also, a new commission by renowned contemporary composer Joan Szymko, “Perhaps I Shall Be”, will receive its world premiere at this event. Szymko will be in attendance both days to talk about this exciting new work for women’s voices.
Directed by Dr. Linda Raney, the Ensemble will be joined by cellist Dana Winograd, percussionist Diana Sharpe and their beloved collaborative pianist, Bill Epstein.
Raney extends a warm welcome to the concerts saying, “From our first uplifting piece, ‘Connected’ to our last, ‘Hope Lingers On’, come and celebrate all the beings in your life that give you joy!”
