SBA News:
ALBUQUERQUE — Yesterday, the U.S. Small Business Administration’s New Mexico District Office is celebrating New Mexico’s Small Business Person of the Year and 12 additional honorees as it prepares for National Small Business Week, which will take place May 4-10, 2025.
Along with awards ceremonies, the week will include a national small business roadshow with SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler, a two-day virtual summit, community events and educational sessions about manufacturing, digital marketing, cybersecurity and cryptocurrency, as well as online business resources and renowned speakers.
“Congratulations to this year’s small business winners, whose innovation and dedication have set a remarkable standard in our region,” Regional Administrator Justin Crossie said. “I am looking forward to National Small Business Week celebrations to honor their achievements and the positive impact they continue to make in our communities as they pursue their American dream.”
“As we celebrate the achievements of our small business award recipients in New Mexico during National Small Business Week, let’s not forget the profound impact they have on our community. Owning a small business is about more than just financial success – it’s about making a difference in the lives of those around us. New Mexico’s entrepreneurs play a vital role in the nation’s economic landscape, joining 34 million small businesses across the country in driving local growth, innovation, and prosperity.” emphasized John Garcia, SBA New Mexico District Director.
The SBA is recognizing Victor B. D’Andrea and Jeffrey Giangiuli owner(s) of TechSource, Inc. for their impact and economic contributions in New Mexico. Brian D’Andrea (CEO) and Jeff Giangiuli (COO) lead TechSource, Inc., a 28-year-old veteran-owned company. Despite facing significant challenges during the past five years, their leadership philosophy, “people matter more than profit,” and resilience prevailed. Between 2021 and 2023, they managed remarkable growth, with employee numbers increasing by 76% and sales soaring by 82%. Beyond business success, they remain deeply committed to community service.
SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler will acknowledge D’Andrea and Giangiuli, who is in the running for the National Small Business Person of the Year and national runner up, on May 5 at the National Small Business Week kick off and awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.
At a local ceremony May 8, 2025, at Sandia Golf Club, SBA’s New Mexico District Office will celebrate the state winner and additional local awardees who have empowered entrepreneurial success, created jobs and driven economic growth in the last year, including:
