NMDOT News:

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) does not send text messages or make phone calls to collect fees or payments for traffic tickets.

Anyone receiving a message about an outstanding ticket is urged to not provide any payment information.

What to do:

• Do not click on any links in suspicious text messages;
• Do not answer unsolicited phone calls regarding traffic tickets or fees; and 
• Block the sender or hang up and block the caller.

Stay vigilant and protect personal information.
