Joe Dudziak retired Friday from the building division in the Los Alamos County Community Development Department. In recognition of his work, Dudziak’s colleagues threw him a party at Fuller Lodge. Dudziak worked for Los Alamos County for 18 years. ‘It feels excellent,’ he said. ‘It’s a great day to retire.’ Dudziak may be retired but he plans to drive in mid-May to Alaska. He also plans to continue volunteering at Pete’s Place, a homeless shelter in Santa Fe where he has volunteered for seven years. Photo by Kirsten Laskey/ladailypost.com
