The Los Alamos High School (LAHS) Topper girls varsity basketball team played in the District Championship matchup against the Pojoaque Elkettes Friday night in Ben Lujan Gymnasium in Pojoaque.
From tipoff to the final buzzer the Toppers were relentless with offense and defense. They defeated the Elkettes 58-46.
GG Romero led the Toppers with 20 points in the matchup.
State playoffs kick off March 12, 14, and 15 with the finals being held at the UNM Pit in Albuquerque.
