Scenes From LAPD’s 2022 Special Olympics Torch Run

Scene this morning of police officers, Special Olympics athletes, Sen. Leo Jaramillo, left, and others gathered for the Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) 2022 Special Olympics Torch Run. The run began at the Justice Center parking lot, with the group headed out in relay fashion east on Central Avenue all the way to Buffalo Thunder. Each runner ran to their limit before another runner took their place until they reached the Buffalo Thunder parking lot with the Torch in hand. ‘Thank you for everyone who supported the Torch Run this year,’ Deputy Chief Oliver Morris said. ‘Whether you ran, drove, covered shift, BBQ’d or donated to Special Olympics, this was another successful Torch Run and thank you for supporting a worthy cause.’ Photo by John McHale/ladailypost.com
