The Quemazón Jazz Combo entertaining the crowd Friday at the third show of the Co-op Summer Showcase Series at Co-op Park at 1010 Central Ave. The Quemazón Jazz Combo is the flagship ensemble of The Santa Fe Symphony’s Jazz Project. It is one of The Symphony’s 27 after-school programs – including orchestras, choirs, mariachi ensembles, chamber groups, and early childhood programming – that serve students in Los Alamos and Santa Fe. The Quemazón Jazz Combo includes guitarist Ethan Fox, bassist León Garcia Rivera, saxophonist Elliot Gaunt, bass clarinetist Sara Khan, saxophonist Antonio Jaurigue, trumpeter Joseph McCulloch, drummer Diego Sena, trumpeter Carson Stauffer, and pianist Evan Strohmeyer.
