The new location of Wolf & Mermaid Enchanted Café and Bakery at 181 Central Park Square. Last fall, Wolf & Mermaid owners Scott Baird and Kate Kudynska completed a successful pop-up shop as part of Phase II of the Los Alamos Business Accelerator program hosted by Los Alamos MainStreet and the Chamber. After the successful pop-up trial, they leased the 818 Central Park Square space and began renovations, during which time they operated out of Bathtub Row Brewing Coop. Jill Holtzclaw on her first day working for Wolf &Mermaid Saturday morning, which was a very busy day. Between 9-9:45 a.m. there were more than 50 people in line with more arriving. Despite hectic conditions, Holtzclaw handled it like a pro. Photo by Clara Clark/ladailypost.com

New menu items will be rolled out regularly, as the staff becomes accustomed to the schedule and new space. In the first few weeks breakfast burritos, oatmeal bowls and fruit shakes will be added. Customers are invited to stop in often to see the new offerings on the menu. Photo by Clara Clark/ladailypost.com
